    FICO scores

I checked my FICO score after my CH7 BK discharge in 3/06 and noticed that my Transunion was a lot higher (665) than my Equifax (603) score with same creditor information.

How can I get Equifax to raise my score to be same as that of Transunion?

You can't. Each credit bureau has their own criteria. Repair all inaccuracies on your reports, and rebuild your credit through new credit lines. Thats all you can do.

And, its a good idea to apply to creditors that pull a credit report of that with your best score. You can call and ask any creditor which bureau they pull from, before applying.

      Question

That sucks, but thanks for the tips.

I kept my credit card and auto loan through the BK and have paid on time on these accounts. Most of the debt was medical bills. How many accounts should I open and how often should I open the new accounts to best improve my FICO score?

      Thanks
      Scott

If you already have a credit card and auto loan reporting, than you're in good shape. I would focus on opening new credit cards that don't cost you a dime. Don't pay any fees, annual or otherwise. Providian, hooters mastercard (merrick bank), would be a couple examples of fee free cards that you could try getting.

          Hooters card

Thanks, I never knew that Hooters had a credit card. I applied for it hopefully I get approved. I always enjoy eating the hotwings and bucket of shrimp with at Hooters.

How long should I wait between apply and obtain new credit cards? I want to minimize the impact that inquiries have on my FICO score.
