What mortgage company can refinance me?

If you are still looking to get something done let me know. There are many mortgage companies that can and will refinance you in a Chapter 13. I have done this many times but the big thing you will need is authorization from the trustee before you do anything. Buying a home under chapter 13

Do you know if you are able to buy a home when you are still making payments to the court?

You can, but you need to get permission from the court, and it can be a big hassle generally, but yes, you can by a home while in a chapter 13 if you are lucky enough to find someone who will finance you.

Yes, I already have permission from the court to refinance. But yes, I had to jump through alot of hoops. But I do have permission. Now the search is on for a company to refinance me.

Refinancing in Chpt 13

We have had tremendous problems with our trustee..tried to refinance our house before we had been in the plan 36 months and the trustee refused to let us..unless we paid 100%. Anyway..in June we will have been in plan for 3 years...we now have a lender that is willing to refinance us right now, while in Chpt 13..and has not asked for letter from trustee. What would happen if we go ahead and do it, without talking to the trustee and then still pay-off in June as planned? Does anyone know?

Hi. Just joined here. It's a little off the subject, but here in WI I talked a to a broker that said you could refinance after a year of being in 13 & making all payments on time. It would be an FHA fixed rate loan. She said they don't go so much on your score as private mtg. co's do. You would refinance your house, but keep making your 13 payments until it was paid off. Maybe someone here has more info. about that.

What lender can finance me in active chapter 13

I am currently 15 months in a chapter 13, and would like to refinance. I am in a two year fixed rate, and my time is almost to expire. Would like to refinance and stay in BK any suggestions/advice having trouble finding a lender.
