I filed bankruptcy almost 2 years ago, originailly it was a chapter7, converted to a 13, after the 7 went nowhere for almost a year, presumably because of my high income. My plan was supposed to have been approved last week by the trustee and the court, but the 8th delay disapointment happened, this time because my attorney forgot to tell me to cease making payments on my 401k. My case just goes on 4ever and ever, and I don't see a light. My attorney now tells me if send him a paystub after I terminate the 401k payments, they might be able to get the trustee to still approve prior to the new date that the set. Does this happen? Is it unusual for so many court delays to happen, or is that what happens and I had an unrealistic view of the time-frame of bankruptcy. Because of this case, we can't refi, move on with our lives and have closure, and I wonder what other lies my attorney is telling me. Does a client have any recourse at all, or must he constantly pay for the mistakes of his attorney. Does anyone have simliar problems? I am litterally sick from this case and not sure where to turn. Sometimes I get the feeling because my attorney is such a nasty mean person, that the trustee's despise him too, and take it out on me. Is that possible??
