    Stimulus refund question

Hi, I am in a ch 13 in GA. Am expecting my stimulus check any day now. I have not heard anything from my attorney or trustee so am guessing I get to keep it. Would it be frowned upon if I took a little of this and my hubby & I take a vacation for our anniversary? I'm not talking a trip to Hawaii or anything, just a short, fairly inexpensive trip away from the real world. The rest I am planning on saving for emergencies, buying a few personal items that we've been putting off and my daughter will finally get her letterman's jacket! Any advice would be wonderful

While I would love to tell you to go ahead, you had better call your attorney and ask before you plan anything. It's up to you to report any additional income or funds during your Plan, although some attorneys have been proactive in getting information out to their clients ahead of time.

FWIW, my attorney told me that if they (the IRS) send us the check it's ours.

I would call my attorney, we were told, no vacations, no flat screens...., so to be safe, I would call the attorney and find out. Good luck!
