We can't make it through this...

I simply cannot make the payments as set by the Trustee. If/when I'm dismissed, what are my options??? Can I file chapter 7?

    Please help.

there is definitely budget shock in a chapter 13. Really makes you think about where every penny goes. Perhaps you can convert to a chapter 7 if you qualify for it. But ususally a chapter 13 is filed to save an asset or because you couldn't qualify for a chapter 7.

Are working with a lawyer, and did you file Ch 13 to save an asset (like your home)?
      Filed Ch 7 - 07/10/08
      341 Meeting - 08/13/08
      DISCHARGED! - 10/15/08
      CLOSED - 10/20/08

If you are dismissed as you ask, you are right back at square one before you filed. When did you file? You want to avoid dismissal if at all possible. Immediately call your attorney and advise him/her of your situation. Do not stop making payments and not notify him/her.
