    2nd job

Just a hypothetical. What are the chances of getting a second job and not saying anything about it? It could sure helpwith expensesand seeing how the courts and trustees don`t have much sympathy for us and our expenses, what would it hurt to not always be so straight and narrow? I realize therewould be tax ramifications in the future, but it would sure help to get thru the next 36 months. As I said, just a hypothetical but has anyone tried anything like this before?

Your best bet would be straight with them. After your 341, perhaps. However you are supposed to inform everyone of any changes like that. Talk to your attorney and perhaps he and your Trustee can compromise in this issue. Trust me, I got bit for 5K I have to pay back because I paid a preferential payment. So I got to pay twice. Please think this out clearly, and remember it may only take 60 days after your 341, then you can do anything you wish. ‘Hub

I forgot to ask; are you 7 or 13?
If I knew it all, would I be here?? Hang in there = Retained attorney 8-06, Filed 12-28-07, Discharge 8-13-08, Finally CLOSED 11-3-09, 3-31-10 AP Dismissed, Informed by incompetent lawyer of CLOSED status, October 14, 2010.

I`m 24 months into a chapter 13 and am at a 80% payback. 1700 a month. That should explain my disgust, especially in light of what we see on wall street thesedays. These aholes get off bankrupting their companies and the U.S scott free and I`m paying back 80%!!!

I understand your pain. I am paying back 60% myself. You cannot take a 2nd job without letting your attorney and trustee know. It's not worth the risk.
