New to the forum...great info here!! Anyone have any thoughts on the laws changing for the better after the election?? We're hanging on by a thread and have had one visit with an attorney, but was thinking things may change next year if we can last that long.

Figures you're a republican. Why do you think you're broke? I'd rather share the wealth than only give it to 10% of the population of the United States. Open your eyes!!

I agree that this is not a political forum but my parents and grandparents lost EVERYTHING they had in Cuba in a " spread the wealth" system.
I know its not the same thing and I am not that naive to equate the two but take MY hard earned money that I studied and started a business for to give to others?????
No way.
I don't ask for anyone else's things, let me keep mine.Very fortunate in the grand scheme of things but have learned my lesson.

On a non-biased note I have a masters degree and I am an accountant.
Strictly from their platforms and campaigns taxes will increase more under Obama.
Just relating the facts as they apply financially.
I wouldn't hold your breath on either candidate. Neither one is going to address the bk situation out of the gate. Neither one has attacked bk laws. both have different approaches to the mortgage crises so if that is part of the cause of your bk (like many of us), check out their latest claims on their campaign sites. I know I couldn't wait for change from either one of them.10/22/2008: EXP 718 ~ EQ 713 ~ TR 722 Watch them FALL

I agree taxes will increase, that's because somebody has to be fiscally responsible because of this humongous debt caused by the Republican president. But an article by Money magazine said this "McCain's tax proposals could increase the national debt by as much as $4.5 trillion with interest, while Obama's could add as much as $3.3 trillion." So relating the facts as they appear financially, when it comes to our burden of debt, it would increase under McCain.May 2008: Filed Chapter 13

My feelings are that there are hundreds of political blogs on the internet in which one could participate in a political discussion.
And rest assured no one cares about people in bankruptcy.
So lets just help one another with pertinent info relating to our need for info about BK.
Please ! (before I get apoplexy).CH 13 OLD LAW
