Two weeks ago we got a refund check from the lawyer for 135.00. We were making 200.00 payments.
We started BK chapter 13 in June 2007. We were both under the impression that we were in BK for 36 months at that meeting....however, initally we were told we were on the hybird plan and would be in it for approx 2 years.
Well...today we got two letters....One from the lawyers office telling us that we would get a form to fill out and that we must complete that form or we would not be discharged and would have to pay to reopen the case to discharge if they didn't get the form within 30 days.
Then we got an offical letter from the Trustee...basically saying that we had paid x amount and to fill out a form (which we haven't gotten yet) to be discharged.
We were both shocked to say the least. Along with this letter were all the creditors listed, the amount we were discharged from and the amount we had paid.
Could we really be done?
