Open a new Checking Acct

I will be filing next month (Dec).. We have a CU that we have been banking for over 4 years now.. great customer serv!,BUT we have a car loan and once we file they will freeze our account and who knows what would happen.... anyhow when I went to see my atty yesterday to pay our final payment he mentioned that we needed to open a new checking account with another fin int since we had a car loan with our currrent CU. I panic.... our credit is taking a hit every month!..... so than I remembered that 4 years ago I had another fin CU checking/savings account in which was still open... just happend to call today and and YES the account was still active since I only had $5 in my savings..they activated my account. issued a visa/debit account....OMG!

So now I'm ready.... I'm so ready to file!!!!.. we have been planing BK for the last 4 months and thanks to this forum I would'nt be able to make it this far...

While it may be another credit union - I would advise you NOT to go with this one. Who knows when these two will merge and then you will run into that problem again
