Ch 13 and getting your series 7, 6 and 63

Just wanted to see if anyone would have the answer to this. I am thinking of a career change and wanted to start studying to take my series 7, 6 and 63. I filed bk almost a year ago and just wanted to know will that keep me from getting these licenses?

Have you checked out a SEC site for qualifications?

You might be okay if no fraud was involved.

The challenge may be getting a broker-dealer to sponsor you. You need the sponsorship to sit for the exams

As long as you're new employer will sponser you, there should be no issue. On your U-4 form, it asks if you have a BK. Be upfront about it in the interview process.

if you are looking to be in sales prospective clients may not want to work with you feeling that someone who had personal financial problems is not the right person to manage others money.

The clients wouldn't be the ones to know about it, As long as the perspective employer is ok, that's all that matters
