    Help!!!!

I made my last payment today in Chapter 13 Okay, I have already contacted my Payroll dept. and they stated that they would need something from my Trustee stating that my plan was completed and finish. My payroll department stated that the Trustee might continue to take out payments, until they get caught up with other cases and then get to mine. Should I contact my Trustee office and let them know that the last payment was made? Could the Trustee office give me something in writing to give to my Payroll dept? I do understand that things with the court could be back up, but I'm not even asking for the discharge, just something to give to my Payroll dept. so that the money can stop coming out. Help!!!!!Help!!!!

My trustee owes me a couple of thousand dollars for the same problems. I finally had my lawyer make contact and scream. The trustee didn't pay a bit of attention to my appeals.

I made my last needed payment in February. I still do not have a discharge.

Good luck to you. This whole system stinks.

You spend three years being perfect so you can get your life back on track, and the courts make you wait another G** knows how long. I feel quite betrayed by the whole process at this point.

That's not effing fair! Backed up or not, if you have completed your plan, the court shouldn't be making you pay any longer. I hope you get all the money returned to you that they took out after the fact. That's just wrong.

It's all true, but your closer to getting the discharge and without this system you would be paying probably for 15 to 30 years depending upon what you owed. That's how I keep smiling since this whole situation pretty much does stink.

          Payment after completion

If you have a confirmed plan of 36 months, your payroll company has to stop making the payments after the thirty six months. Did you give your payroll company a copy of the confirmed plan? Why would anyone let the trustee continue to receive money once they have verification that they have fully paid the amount approved? I have a 42 month plan and I am making the payments to the trustee so that I can control when they are made and when they stop!

            ...invegas; that's good to know.

We recently moved and both changed jobs, so we've just been making the payments ourselves. My husband didn't want it going to his HR dept. because he works for the town and it's a small town, blah, blah, blah.

I just finally got a perm position that I start Monday and was planning on giving the info to the trustee to start taking payments out...but now I think I'll just keep this as it is.

we get an accouting every quarter of our money in and money out of the plan, so we'll just keep on doing what we're doing.

Sorry for the folks being efffed.

I contacted my payroll department to et them know that I was finished.

They knew that the plan was done, but they were not "authorized" to stop the withdrawls until the trustee sent them a letter telling them that it was all done.
The just continued to take money till they got a letter from the trustee.

That letter didn't come till I got my lawyer involved. That was the only thing that stopped paymet.

I finished the plan payments over a six months ago. They have to close a CH13 case as soon as it's "practicle." Their "practicle" and mine obviously have nothing in common.

                This sucks!

Elf, I contacted my payroll department and that was the exact same thing that I was told. I have to receive a letter from my Trustee office letting them know that I was complete. I called my Trustee office and they stated that it would be approx. 45 business days (they stressed the business days). However, my Payroll department say that in there years of doing business with the Trustee, they normally take out one more deduction before they get the letter. I will be calling my attorney today, so that he can be on top of this as well. It's so amazing how you are faithful to the end and when you are finish, they take their time as if they want your life to be on further delay as for as your credit is concern.
