You dont have the title, correct?

That means you don't own it, plain and simple.

So you have clearly and rudely stated that you don't want to call anyone, you don't want to call the court, you dont want to call the original lender. Then just keep driving it until you get pulled over. Or keep it until the repo man takes it from you. And the notion that you could charge someone for "storing" the car is about the dumbest thing I have EVER heard of.

You are going to look pretty stupid at the DMV, when they see you trying to get the title for a abandoned vehicle that is registered in your own name.

i have the registration in my name until 2010...

i have possession...

its not been abandoned on my property...someone elses..

i dont have to have the title as long as i have possession....if you leave your car at the local walmart for 7 months...do you expect walmart to take care of that car for you? NO! they will have it towed and sold at auction...

what makes me any different now?

How do you know you have no responsibility to the "fools".

The scrap yard is required by law to take the VIN off the vehicle and then copy your identification. Better hope its not reported stolen from the lender or reported as a repo. You will be liable for it.

And I dont think you understand about the abandoned vehicle paperwork either.

I dont get it, why dont you just call the lender from a cell phone and ask them about it?

i dont need the title to part it out...
it aint going to a scrap it at a scrap yard...sell it piece by piece..

why would they report it stolen? that would be a false claim..stolen from where? its their responsibility not mine...

i dont want to call and do their business...they did not do me any favors..

i may own it out right and if they dont get up with me pretty soon they wont own for sure..

i see no legal recourse for them by abandoning the vehicle...alaska says after 7 mos its the property owners...

leave your car at a hotel or on the side of the street and come back three months later and see if it is still there...if it isnt report it stolen...you would be arrested for filing a false police report...

these lenders have no special rights...they are just like anyone else...if they want to abandon property thats their right...

i have POSESSION, I HAVE TAGS, REGISTRATION and iNSURANCE..IN MY NAME...what if i move? i have no responsibility to track them down...i could just leave it behind...then what...i am liable? no i dont think so..

so that is what i am saying...

i feel that they abandonded the vehicle...i have no court order or instructions to store and preserve the vehicle...

It's only been about a month and ahalf since you were discharged. I'm betting you'll get a call or the repo man will show in the near future. They haven't abandoned it because it hasn't been 7 months...as you say. Still, until you have the Title in hand, the vehicle isn't legally yours. I'd be real careful about hacking it up and selling it....you could end up with more probems than you realize.

trustee says they have 30 days to come forward after that they have abandoned the vehicle and i can file for a new title
