    Hey everyone,

I mailed my last payment to the trustee for our Jan 1 payment in late december.

I checked 13 datacenter and our case status is listed as "Completed (J)".

I keep checking pacer and nothing on there yet about it :-/

    I'm hopeful!

Wow, that's a great accomplishment! Did you have a 3 year or a 5 year plan? I keep hearing that only 30% of CH 13 filers ever get entirely through their plans, so you should indeed be proud of making it through! I hope to join you in 44 months, lol.

Plan Modified July 8, 2009 from $1100/month to $400/month due to change in income, finally discharged in July of 2013!

I know I'm on good drugs right now but it looks like his plan was only for a year? Wow!

The low percentages are probably from people trying a 13 Pro Se, and then they screw it all up.

My plan was what my attorney called a "hybrid" BK plan.

Basically, if you work the numbers right, you end up with disposable income is less than $100/mo. When this happens, you are supposed to qualify for chapter 7 in most cases. But you can still file for a 13.

When you do, since your disposable income is less than the minimum monthly payment, you can basically pick your own payment for the 13. That payment is used to pay all of your priority and secured debts included in the plan. By law, all priority and secured debts in a chapter 13 must be paid 100% and they get paid before everyone else. My only priority/secured debt was my attorney's fee of about $2500.

I paid $200/mo for 14 months and this covered my attorney's fee, and the trustee's fee. Once that was paid, i've finished the plan and here comes the discharge.

What I was told was "basically, if you qualify for a chapter 7, you can do a 7/13 hybrid." and in the hybrid plan, all you do is pay the $200/mo to pay the attorney and trustee fees and you're done. The guy has commercials all over TV here in Raleigh, NC...but it does work.
