    Pay Increase & Bank Statement?

When we filed, my wife, who has her own business, was making about $500 a month gross. With a lot of frugal living we are saving her pay. Lately, the business is doing better and she is paying herself $1000 per month but that will only last as business does well. Heck the way the economy is it could just as easily go the other way. My question is: will this increase, banked every month, change things or should I just deposit half to the savings account and just have some spare cash on hand? It's kinda nice to have the extra funds for an emergency.

So basically your income on a yearly basis would increase $6,000 with this extra $500 per month but could go either way; higher or lower. Call your attorney and explain the situation to protect yourself as there is a change in your income after your filing. Anytime there is any fluctuation of a decent amount (i.e., $6,000 per year) in your income, up or down, call your attorney. Remember, you would do it in an instant (call) if your income dropped $6,000. A rise is no different. Protect yourself because if your returns are reviewed each year by the trustee and there is an increase that was not reported, it could be grounds for dismissal. A successful Chapter 13 discharge is obtained by going by the rules and being honest and open with the attorney and trustee. Remember, the trustee is in charge of your financial house during your plan, not you, and a lot of folks don't like that and fail to report things they should.

If I were you, I would call your attorney for advice as to what to do for your particular situation. You may not have to do anything at all except bank that extra $500 per month in savings or for house/car repairs....I certainly hope you can do that!
