How long does it take from the time you stop paying debt, until the creditor sues you , gets a judgement and can actually start the garnishment process? I know each creditor is different. My main question is the latter...how long before winning a judgement will it take to start the garnishing? Just curious...

After you have read through those. Go to the link below.
Select justice court, and enter in your name to see if any cases are open.
Select civil cases and do the same.
Justice court is small claims that don't exceed $2500, and civil is everything above that.
