Workers Comp settlement during 13

I started my 13 last year in Jan.
In July, I tore my rotator cuff at work. I had surgery 8 weeks ago, and expect to get a settlement sometime this year from my employer.

I don't have any idea how much money I'll get, but will the trustee want any or all of it, even though it's after my filing?? I live in Illinois, any info is appreciated.

Any additional funds received during your Plan no matter from what source (including insurance, personal injury settlements, etc.) need to be disclosed to your attorney. Give him/her a call and apprise him/her of this situation and that you expect to receive a settlement for your injury.

Correct, I'm aware that they need to be informed, but am wondering if the trustee will get involved and get the money. Either way will be fine, it'll just get my case over with sooner.
