    Chapter 13 end in sight

I filed a 5 year chapter 13 February 2006. I recently lossed a part-time job and am down about 5-10 thousand when I originally filed. Should I suck it up and try to get another part-time job for the next year plus or should I try for a hardship, 7 conversion or modification of the 13. My attorney talked to our trustees office and was told they usually dont approve of modifications however it is ultimately up to the judge. Another thing over the last couple of years I have gotton 3 credit card with about 700 dollar limits and with the job loss I have not been paying those minimum payments in full so some calls are starting etc. I have done really well in the plan and the cards helped me through some unexpected expenses. But now I cannot afford the minimum payments. Can they or would they start to sue me if I do not stay current or would they talk to the bankruptcy court. Any advice would be appreciated.
    Thanks

if you can convert, then do so and include the new cards

Talk with your lawyer. Even if you can't convert to Ch 7, since your income loss is likely to go on for awhile, you may be able to modify your Ch 13 to lower your payments going forward.

No matter what you do, always keep your lawyer up-to-date on any significant, long-lasting changes in income or expenses while your plan is active.
I am not a lawyer and this is not legal advice nor a statement of the law - only a lawyer can provide those.
