We have finally decided to file, we don't meet with our attorney for a month. Anyone know anything about the Southern District and how difficult the Trustee's are?

I kinda wish we could use Indiana's exemptions. It's a flat $8K individual/$16K joint. And you can apply it however you want to.
Our home state exemptions are very segmented. So much for household. So much for vehicles. Any one item to $X. Head of household get's a WC of this much and dependents under 18 get a $350 WC. It comes out about the same, but has to be worked different.
We're Northern District, so I can't help ya with Indy.Filed Ch 7 - 09/06

I am not an attorney. My comments are based on personal experience and research. Always consult an attorney in your area to address concerns related to your particular situation.

Southern District is Indianapolis. Have fun, just make sure you don't think objection deadlines set by the courts actually mean trustees have to obide by them. In Indy they can just file their 341 report and ask for an extension until such time as they are ready to file objections. Which of course pushes the confirmation hearing date out even further, giving them time to wring every last nickle they can with a fine tooth comb.Originally posted by debtisbadDo you know anything about Indianapolis?
