Is it possible to get my money back from the lawyer if they have not filed yet? I first met with them in June. within 3 weeks they had all my paper work. Everytime I called to see if they had a file date yet I was told someone would contact me. On 3 occasions DH even went up to bring in his recent pay stubs. He also went up last week saying we have paid in full and why is nothig happening (busy with vacations blah blah blah). Promised we would get a call by end of week. well it is now 9:30 pm Fri and no call. I would like to get my money back and find another lawyer. Is this possible? Sure does seem like they haven't put any time or effort into my case so nothing to charge me for.
