sick of my car questions yet?

    Hi guys,

I just noticed a new document filed on our case today. The finance company for the car that we bought after we filed (to replace the car we surrendered - this was okayed by our attorney) has filed a "notice of appearance" and "request for notification." I assume this means that the finance company wants to be notified when we're discharged.

Now I'm freaking out because I'm scared it will hurt our discharge somehow that we bought a car. We did spend quite a bit of money on the car because of finance co. restrictions (had to have certain mileage and be under warranty), but the reason we can afford the car is BECAUSE we aren't paying $700 a month toward credit cards. Plus I finally got a job, but I didn't have any way to know that when we had our 341 - I interviewed two weeks after that.

Maybe I'm just paranoid, but we're less than 2 weeks from our deadline for objections and I'm scared to death something is going to go wrong. Any words of wisdom out there?

That's about the size of it.

The only thing that can screw up a "discharge" is an Objection to Discharge or Motion to deny discharge filed by the BK Trustee or the US Trustee.

Granted, you still have two weeks to go, but if you hadn't heard anything now, I wouldn't lose too much sleep over it.

Thanks, HHM. I think I just need to leave PACER alone from now until after the first of the year.
