update! Atty's secretary finally returned our calls, well not really. She called to tell us that this missing pdf file was a few paystubs and the 2005 tax return, which they figured out. But to call us the day before the continuance and need paystubs from the Fall with only a few hours notice!! Amazing. Glad this is a one time deal!
And come to find out our original atty. was FIRED, big time. My suspicions about him coming in looking hung over may have been correct.
For anyone just starting out, GO WITH YOUR GUT and find a new atty! We are lucky our case was handed over, but this is taking much longer than anticipated. Our case was supposed to be filed at the beginning of Oct. and was delayed for 1 mo. due to a hardly functioning atty. And then the continuance set us back 2 wks.
