    Question....

I was reading the post regarding tax returns/Chapter 7 awaiting discharge, because I am also curious as to if we should hold off filing our taxes (not anticipating a refund anyhow this year...) - but one of the moderators mentioned that a discharge should be issued 60 days after the meeting. Our meeting was 11/13, last day for objection 1/8, and then a meeting with the judge regarding the reaffirmation we had willingly signed on my husband's motorcycle (the judge denied the reaffirmation, but we intend to keep paying on it). I checked pacer again as of Friday, it still reads "Awaiting Discharge, Meeting of Creditors Held"....do you think at this point it's more administrative (i.e. sitting on someone's desk in a big stack to be processed)?

Were I you, I'd call the bk clerks office and ask to speak with your case manager and ask about the holdup.
There is no reason not to file your taxes. If a refund was anticipated and the trustee wanted it, all they'd do is hold off closing the bk until they got paid.
