    We're getting close to filing

Well, the Credit Counseling is under our belts and our attorney received the petition back in the office yesterday, so I'm hoping we file pretty soon! How soon after you signed the petition did yours get filed? They had to make a couple of more corrections, but nothing major. I'm getting nervous now.
    Petition Filed 6/4/07 :clapping:
    341 meeting 7/31/07 :clapping:
First Meeting Held and Trustee's Report of No Distribution 8/2 :yahoo::yahoo:

Not long - we signed our final Ch 13 forms late one afternoon and our lawyer's office uploaded them electronically the next morning. We had our case number by that afternoon.
I am not a lawyer and this is not legal advice nor a statement of the law - only a lawyer can provide those.

    06/28/06 - 341 Meeting
    07/18/06 - Confirmation Hearing - not confirmed, 3 objections
10/05/06 - Hearing to resolve 2 trustee objections
01/24/07 - Judge dismisses mortgage company objection
    09/27/07 - Confirmed at last!
06/10/11 - Trustee confirms all payments made
    08/10/11 - DISCHARGED !

Not long here either. We had actually completed all of the paperwork and signed the petition before we paid. I went back about 4 days later and paid the lawyer, it was filed that day and I found it on pacer that afternoon.

Well then mine will probably take 2 weeks. Nothing my lawyer has done has been in sinc with anyone's here, they're slower than molasses growing up hill in January! Thanx for the info though, at least I know we're close, I just want my freakin' life back!

We went in on Tuesday afternoon and met with our paralegal to go over our petition. There were a couple of errors she needed to fix.

One was associated with us moving. She'd changed to the new address in Hubby's box. She thought the program would automatically transfer over to my box but it didn't. So she had to fix that. Something else minor like that.

And we needed to update all of our debts to our most recent CC bills.

The paralegal made the corrections and updates and our petition was filed on Thursday when she came back in the office.
          Filed Ch 7 - 09/06
          Discharged - 12/2006
Officially Declared No Asset - 03/2007
          Closed - 04/2007

I am right there with you demismom. I think all of my stuff will be ready to go early next week. I hear you on getting this filed so you can feel like you are taking action. But at the same time I'm nervous too. Here is hoping everything goes smoothly for us!
