    Pacer

    Hello All,

I have read on some of the posts about " Pacer"...what is that? Is it some kinda' bankruptcy database...Just wondering.
    thanks!

Pacer is a database information Center for anythng that goes on at the local and federal courthouse............... it covers bankrutpcy, civil and criminal suits, etc...

There is information under General Bankruptcy Talk that will tell you about Pacer and the link to it...

Pacer is how everyone here tracks the activity on their bankruptcy cases and what kind of paperwork is being presented to the Court by all parties involved.

My suggestions are from "personal experience" and research only. Do not consider this as legal advice. Each bankruptcy case is different.

It's great if you like having all of the info quickly, but if you are habitual worry wort ....... you may want to ration your use.

I was amazed how $.08 a sheet can add up to almost $20.

I don't know if you can use PACER, but I do know in Wisconsin we hav CCAP that we can check, you may have that in whatever state you live in, just google CCAP and your state.

Here's a link to a thread about PACER for you:

PACER stands for Public Access Electronic Court Records. Federal level Courts. Circuit Court, Appellate, BK, that type of thing.
