    creditor meeting set- Oh no!

Well, my spouse filed yesterday. He tried friday w/ attorney but it apparently didn't go through. So, creditor meeting set for June 27th. Weird coincidence that last night about two hours later 4 of the 7 creditors called my spouses cell and at least now he can tell them and give them atty info. Also, filled out reaffirmation for mortgage. Also, all the creditors tried to get him to reaffirm w/ them but attorney said to say no and pass it to him. So that's where we are. Atty said that nothing will really happen from now until then. He also knows the trustee and has said he is pretty easy to work with. Passed the means test easily also. Just an update.

Yep. Don't talk to the Creditors that call. Just jot down your attny's contact info, your case number, Ch filed, and tell the Creditors to call the attny.

The Notices may not get mailed out til next week so it may be the first week of June before the calls completely stop. But once you inform a Creditor Hubby has filed, that Creditor shouldn't call back at all. They have access to PACER. They can verify the filing themselves.

Hang on just a bit longer. The phone will grow silent and life will get better real quick.

I am not an attorney. My comments are based on personal experience and research. Always consult an attorney in your area to address concerns related to your particular situation.

Yep don't talk to the creditors, give them your lawyers info and let him deal with them .

Congrats on making the first big step

Everyone has a creditor meeting (The 341) that's not a big deal. Most creditors never come to it.
May 31st, 2007: Petition Filed by my lawyer
      July 2nd, 2007: 341 Meeting Held
September 4th, 2007: Discharged and Closed.
