can I file?

I have been trying to get a auto loan for about 2 months and keep getting turned down. Today my girlfriend suggested that I talk to the lady at her credit union to see if they could help. She ran a credit report and I was totally shocked!!! I have alittle over $4000 in medical bills that are in collections and $10300 in tax liens. I called my county clerks office and was told 2 of the tax liens are showing as child support being due. She wasn't sure of the other 2. I also have over $3000 in child support arrears that I am currently paying on and just the other day I rec'd another court date for child support for over $6000 from back in 1997-98 when my 3rd child was born. Apparently the mom was on public assistance so now they want me to pay it back. I can't keep up with all of this.
What can I do? Would BK wipe any of this out?

Child support is generally not dischargable in BK. However, there are technicalities to the to the exception. So you should probably talk to an attorney to see if their are any options.

If the debt is due to public assistance, you might have a chance to get it discharged, reduced, or at least remove the lean.
