341 on Wednesday

Our 341 meeting is this Wednesday. I am starting to get kind of nervous. Our lawyer and our paralegal told us not to be and to just tell the truth.

I know that I probably should not be so nervous...but I am. This is the first time that I will have ever stepped foot into a "courtroom". I know that it is not an actual courtroom, but close enough.

Any last minute advice or words of wisdom?

Do creditors have to send notice to the Trustee that they are coming? I guess what I am wondering is if we will know in advance if anyone shows up.

I don't think they have to send notice. But I heard that they almost never show up. A friend of ours went bankrupt a few years back and no one showed up.

Generally only local creditors come to 341 meetings, and then generally its mostly the payday loan places etc.

We all feel a little nervous.

I know how you feel, mine is Tuesday, I was okay until yesterday, now my stomach is in knots all the time. Here's hoping BOTH of our 341's go smoothly!

you will both be fine!!!!!! as long as your petitions and schedules are truthful and you are both filing in good faith, you will breeze through it....when its over you will laugh and say is that it? don't sweat it....guzzie

Good luck to you guys, you will be fine. I know I will feel the same way in a few weeks when I have to go to mine (I have no idea why my meeting is almost 9 weeks from filing) but you know there is no turning back now. Just keep thinking of the light at the end of this tunnel and debt free.

We filed chapter 13 with an attorney in 2005 and now after our 13 was dismissed due to non payment we filed pro se chapter 7 and at both 341 meetings no creditors were present it was in and out 2 minutes tops basic yes and no questions and we were done it was a breeze we are expecting our dicharge and close to be posted on pacer tomarrow so you will be fine
