    I'm New...Co-Signer Questions...?

Hi everyone! I am new here and I hope I'm posting this in the right spot...If not, I appologize in advance! I have been getting tons of great information here, thank you to everyone!

I had my initial meeting with my attny a few weeks ago, and I'm trying to scrounge up the money to file Chapter 7. I am so excited to finally get out from underneath all this debt that I can't stand it!

So my question is: One of my debts is a car that I co-signed with an ex-boyfriend (i know, i know stuppppppid decision!). He's not paid on the car in about 3 months and now Wells Fargo is coming after me, of course! Seeing as how I'm already filing for BK I assume that I can be released of this debt, but the thing I'm worried about, is I have no idea where he is or how to get ahold of him. He's apparently hiding out in order to avoid getting the car repo'd, that's what I would assume anyway. I'm just worried that even though I'm filing BK, Wells Fargo will go after me if they can't find him. Am I worrying for nothing? I know that companies like that have ways of finding people.

Just be sure to list the loan and WF on your Creditor's Matrix. You can Discharge your obligation to the loan. Once you're Discharged, a permanent injunction comes into effect.

Debts Discharged in BK are never collectible. Creditors that try to collect, ie Wells Fargo in this case, would be in violation of the permanent injunction.

Then it'll be up to WF to chase after BF to find the car and repo it.
    Filed Ch 7 - 09/06
    Discharged - 12/2006
Officially Declared No Asset - 03/2007
    Closed - 04/2007
