    mobile home value

I am confused about how to get an estamate on the 1962 mobile home I live in.

Do I actualy have to have this appraised.

I can not find any other property that sold in my area to do a comparison. And nothing on the internet except for blue books for mobile homes <similar to kelly blue book for autos> that you have to purchase.

You might be able to get Market Evaluations from Realtors in your area. Just act like you're thinking of selling. Call a couple of Realtors. They'll give you very good estimates of asking price, plus they'll detail all associated costs to sell.

Also, NADA has a Guide for determining a value. Might give you a good ball park figure to work with:

I am not an attorney. My comments are based on personal experience and research. Always consult an attorney in your area to address concerns related to your particular situation.

An official appraisal is not required, but I would have documentation ready in case your trustee asks how you valued your home.

Here's another free online home value estimator that also works for mobile homes - http://www.valuemyhouse.com/
I am not a lawyer and this is not legal advice nor a statement of the law - only a lawyer can provide those.

Is it in a park or on private land? I've got a1983 which my insurance company would only insure for 15,000 and they told me that actual value was around 6000.00. Mine is on leased land so the land value was 0......it wouldn't hurt to call the insurance company and ask them what they value it at.

Or go by the tax value
Sometimes life make you deal with ugly and hateful people ,just think of them as sand paper. They may scratch you and rub you the wrong way but eventually you end up smooth and polished and the sand paper becomes old and worn out.
