    Expense question (Schedule J)

I am filing BK 7. (Actually my lawyer is doing it for me)

All of my debt is my debt and my wife is NOT joint on any of it.

Last year on my taxes, I filed joint with my wife, and we had 4 dependents. They were my 2 kids and her parents were also living with us. So it was 6 of us in one household.

When I figure out the expenses for Schedule J, do I base it on my expenses for just myself or for ALL 6 people living in my house?

(Storesstores, I removed your post from the old 2005 thread you posted this to into its own thread. You'll get better answers with your own thread. -lrprn)

If all six people are still living in your household now, then you base the Schedule J expenses on what is needed for all six people.

And storesstores, in the future, please don't post to threads that have been inactive for more than a few months - start a new one of your own instead. There's old information in these threads that may no longer be accurate today, and it's also against our forum rules. Thanks!

I am not a lawyer and this is not legal advice nor a statement of the law - only a lawyer can provide those.
