Well its not like they are going to get any money out of your mom. First I'd pull your credit reports and make sure they aren't falsely reporting this on your reports.
It is clear they are harassing you from what you've said. They can't actually put your name on the bill or address it to you without you being the debtor. I hope you can do something about it.
Hopefully you can find another lawyer, maybe even get one that is also a trustee and run it by him. (Many Trustees are also lawyers on the side.). I hope you find one willing to work with you.May 31st, 2007: Petition Filed by my lawyer

Here's the question you want to ask these attorneys. If you don't ask it specifically, they likley won't suggest it.
Is she judgment proof?
She doesn't own anything and her only income in Social Security. I'd tell her creditors to jump in a creek.
Spend some time reading up on the FDCPA. Especially regarding sending requests to cease phone calls.
