What does this mean? I am at the very beginning of all this and my attorney briefly mentioned something about reaffirming regarding my house which I intend to keep. I am pretty sure she stressed do not reaffirm.?

reaffirm meaning you sign a paper saying that you agree not to have this debt discharged. If you do not reaffirm you can still keep the property if you continue to pay but if one day you say I dont want this or I cant afford this you can walk away they get the property back but they can not sue you for any remaining balance because it gets discharged in bankruptcy.Sometimes life make you deal with ugly and hateful people ,just think of them as sand paper. They may scratch you and rub you the wrong way but eventually you end up smooth and polished and the sand paper becomes old and worn out.

As Family of 7 says, a reaffirmation is a legal agreement whereupon you assume financial responsibility for the property. By not reaffirming you get the option later of walking away from it if it proves to great a burden for you without consequences.May 31st, 2007: Petition Filed by my lawyer
