Travel out of the Country

The more I read about bankruptcy, the more scared and confused I become. It almost seems to me that there is more disinformation out there than real information. Anyway, my question today: After my bankruptcy is discharged, will I be able to travel out of the country? I have read ina few places that you cannot travel out of the country once you file. Is this so?
