Im glad to get it out of the way today...Send happy-happy joy-joy vibes my way this afternoon. I am a bit nervous, and my attorney has not prepared us at all. The trustee has not asked for any more, called or sent a letter to bring anything more than our SS cards but I will tuck basics into my bag just in case. Thats probably a good thing?
Do you think I will look disrespectful If I wear black walking (long to knee) shorts and a decent top? Its horribly hot and humid, plus the only pants I own are jeans! Im not a 'clothes person'.

Good luck and yes, you can wear shorts, jeans, whatever, just look nice and clean. People my meeting wore anything from nice pants, shirt to sloppy loose t-shirt and shorts. They came as they were. I would wear a wrinkled-torn shirt, a tattered/ragged short, and a holed-shoes... & no underarm deodorant... j/k

LOL, actually there was a guy at my meeting that had holes in his shoes, I could not help but to look up his case in pacer and as you guess, he was declared no assets LOL

Our lawyer was a bit late and we were getting worried, but he showed up just in time and we sat. AND sat.. through some fighting between a creditor and a chapter 7, (very dramatic I must say..wow!) then a guy who lost something like 2.9 million in bad real estate. We were glad to be called and I think the trustee was too. She must have been exhausted from the first ordeals. They took a long time. My back was killing me at that point and my stomach making all sorts of sound effects.
A few questions and we were OUT. We were sixth to be called after two no-shows. She seemed like an alright person, no ogre or monster. Very Human.
Everyone dressed down. Jeans, t shirts, sandals, shorts, and even a girl who looked like she had not brushed her hair in quite a while. Only one pro se filer. She looked so young , maybe 23 max? Poor thing.
I borrowed a nice shirt for nothing!!
