Well, it finally happened... Chased filed a suit against us, so now our filing WILL be happening very soon.
We actually got a notice in the mail from the local Sheriff's Office notifying us that they needed to contact us to serve the papers. Unfortunately it was on a post card, but I still think it was better than them showing up at our door or at dh's work. Still feels pretty awful, though.
Dh called the next day and went down and picked up the papers. That must not happen very often as the Sheriff told dh he was really making his job easy.
For timeframe reference, we last paid them in January 2007.
Here are my questions...
These are joint accounts with dh & I both, but the suit is only in dh's name. Is there any significance to this? Should I be expecting a separate suit in my name only?
Also, we have 3 Chase accts, but this suit is only for 2 of them. Is there any significance to them only including 2 in the suit?
Thanks for any input you can offer.
