Paying lawyer

I plan on paying my lawyer $500 in Oct and $500 in Nov with the intent of the filing happening soon into Nov. If I show $500 coming out of my checking account on the 1st of those 2 months will this create any issues? Doesn't this make it appear that I have a quite a bit of money left over each month? Has anyone been asked about this? If asked, would an answer along the lines of I scrimped on food, washed my clothes in the sink, didn't make any car repairs, didn't buy any clothes, didn't have go out/no recreation, etc. be a fair answer? I don't want someone to ask why I had $500 a month extra to pay the lawyer but I'm filing a Ch7.

Please don't ask what I'm doing up at 1:15am....lol. I'm sure you've all been there.

You're way overthinking this thing. Legal fees are a legimate expense. Many of us paid the lawyer in installments. Won't even raise an eyebrow. Just be sure yiou have your bank balance below the level your state exempts before you file.
