    Help!

I just filed bk 7. I am really nervous now. I live with a room mate, and we split the bills for everything. All the utilities and such are in my name only and we have always just paid them with my account....To pay me for his half he has always just signed his paycheck over to me and I deposit it into my account, then withdraw any left out money for him that he needs. He does not have a bank account so this is just the way we have always done it. Can the trustee look at that deposit and claim it to be income? even after I explain what it is to him? I already did so to my lawyer at our first meeting, and he never really said anything about it

    Shouldnt be a problem.
Sometimes life make you deal with ugly and hateful people ,just think of them as sand paper. They may scratch you and rub you the wrong way but eventually you end up smooth and polished and the sand paper becomes old and worn out.

not an expert but I would think that as long as you were honest in your forms in that you only pay half of those expense then it wouldn't be a problem. (A)

but if you claimed that you and you alone pay those expenses then that would be a lie. (B)

do you know which you claimed? If A, then no problem, if B - I'd ammend.

      just my opinion.

Thanks for the answers, but yes I claimed I pay only half, but I also claimed my income only not his. Because in truth it is not mine, and it does not go toward my expenses, but my worry is the trustee will see his checks deposited into my account and try to make it be my income?????
