Ch. 7 and not reaffirming your car

I assume that since I didn't reaffirm my car that the Bank will not report to the credit bureaus. It's not a big deal to me since I will want to buy a house soon and it's less debt showing on my credit report.

In your case ,the Bank will do just what it wants to do. If it wants to report, it will. If it doesn't want to report, it won't. Odds are it won't.

Unless a filer gets a clause in his/her reaffirmation agreement requiring the lender to report, there's no guarantee even with a reaffirmation agreement that a lender will report on-time payments to the credit agencies after filing.

I guess I'll find out in a month. I wouldn't mind since it would help with credit history....
