I am kind of confused. I was told that the calls would stop once we told them we were in the process of filing. We have filled out the paper work, chapter 7, paid all money due, etc. I have a creditor that has called almost daily. I gave him my attorney's number and the phone calls stopped for 2 days. They called again today stating that they can call as much as they want until they actually have a case number. I called the attorney's office and we should have a case number next week. I told the creditor that they must quit calling me and directed her to my attorney's number, address, etc.
Is this the case, they can still call even after I have told them about the bankruptcy until they have a case number??? I am getting really frustrated with this.
Any thoughts?
