Benefit to filing over the holidays?

I finally retained an attorney on Thursday and just need to take the credit course and then get her a few documents before I can file. I know it's best to delay filing as long as possible but is there any perceived benefit to filing over the holidays (i.e. "Christmas Spirit") with the trustees?

I was planning on filing on Halloween to keep the 6-month lookback to April 1 - September 30 but can push it back into November if need be and really target the holidays for my 341 meeting.

I started planning this back in March when I met with an attorney and cut up my cards, stopped paying creditors in April, and was really afraid that I'd have a garnishment by now. I've just gotten some threatening letters but nothing substantial from anyone.

No, there is no inherent benefit to filing over the holidays...actually, doing so may make your case take longer than it otherwise would.

Trustees & Christmas spirits?? Hell will freeze over before that happens.

I don't think they are as cruel as we think. They just do their jobs. I wouldn't wait- it will just get postponed and take longer.
