Discharged & Closed!!!!!!!

Yesterday was my last day for objections, so I had a mini celebration at midnight last night. I had noticed that some Ch 7's are discharged & closed the next day in my area, so I checked at 5:45 this morning (couldn't sleep), nothing.

Then I slept late because I have today off, checked when I got up this morning at 10:30 , and almost died, there it was, the magic words, Discharged & Closed on MY case!!! Whooooohoooooo!

I was under the median (by a lot), and showed over $300 disposable on my I & J, but my lawyer wasn't worried. I was. I trusted him, and he was right! My case actually went very smoothly, very simply, and I was almost hysterically worried for the whole 3 months. But it's over, and I can finally move forward with my life, and my fresh start! I still have my student loans, but they're only about $12,000, so I can work on them. I WILL be debt free eventually, but a huge weight has been lifted.

Bankruptcy has been SOOOO worth it for me, it's the best decision I've ever made, aside from leaving my husband.

We are right here with ya....we are closed Oct 29th too! We filed on June 27 and were discharged on Oct 12th....we were so worried about closing but its over now! YAHOOOOOOOOO! Now to pay that fifty dollar Pacer bill. haha I remember first finding this forum and laughing because everyone had smily faces that were done with their Ch 7s. I couldnt understand it. I was so embarrassed for filing...now I realize it was the best thing we EVER did. Now we have a fresh start. S&T

Thanks, everyone!!! I'm working on my credit reports now, for some reason, one is reporting 0 balance, IIB, but 30 days late for August, and 60 days late for September. I filed in JULY. Experian is telling me they already verified it, so I have to send in this paperwork to them, I disputed on TU, and I'll wait a bit on Equifax, since I have to pay to get an actual report from them.

Otherwise, life is GOOD.

I actually had a 70 dollar PACER bill, but it was worth it. I might have a 10 dollar one next time, but that's ok too.
