I was told that there : "Repair your credit reports by removing negative items. From bankruptcies to charge-offs to tax liens, we have deleted over 700,000 such items to date."
Sort of, if the Bankruptcy is over 7 years old, it may be removed.
Its not so much that they remove your bankruptcy from the credit report, its that they challenge each account that is listed as "discharged in BK". When you file Bankruptcy, 2 things happen with your credit report, the firts is, in the "public records" section of the CR, it list that you have filed Bankruptcy, the second thing that happens is that each account that was listed in your BK should reflect an entry of "discharged in bankruptcy". What these services do is barage the credit agencies with dispute letters directed at each individual account, and the original creditors don't bother verifying so the item gets removed. But if the item gets verified, then it stays.
However, the "public record" that is your bankruptcy is very hard to get removed until at least after 7 years from discharge.
Its more or less a scam, so I wouldn't pay for the service since its easy enough to do on your own.
