After reading through so many wonderful post, I've found that I can offer something entertaining to the forum.
I've been sitting still for the last 9-10 months, after my CH7 was discharged and closed in August of 2004. I've not even taken advantage of some great credit rebuilding plans, but, I will. I've no intention of hiding in here much longer. I had excellent credit at one time. I will again!
But, one of the listings I had filed for BK protection from is CIT; a commercial and personal finance company that allowed for a third house to be placed on some grasing land that my ex had held in the Northern TX region and was doing nothing with. (we later moved to and took up occupany)
I later, after many events, abandoned that house and most all things in it. My 2 children and I pretty much left with the clothes on our backs and began anew.
But, CIT has now, after 2.5 years of non-occupany, and 10mnths of closed status for BK, went to claim their property. One can just imagine why now and why not before now; but, I'm not too often surprised by people anymore. And anyway, ITS GONE.
They've hired a law firm, who, in turn, tracked me down to see if I have any valid information regarding this fairly good size double wide mobile home (1900 sq ft, 4bd, 3 full bath, dining, lv, kitchen) and where it might be. Needless-to-say, after my chuckle-gasp, I had no clue. I left that house on a prayer and I never looked back. Not once.
I did offer that given the circumstances for my demise; (ex is a pedifile and tortured daughter in house), I could only guess that the devil came to claim his den and took it straight to hell. Or, reality would suggest that its in anyones possession as their client waiting HOW LONG before repossession?
Now, I'm no country bump-kin or wall street banker, but, is this good business for any of their share-holders or just a general fouled mess? I had to share this with everyone, because, in prying even further, this lawyer went on to tell me that the company reported me as a liability risk due to the out-standing nature of the debt incured; over $20K in arrears.
But, any recovered debt from collections would be acceptable. ANd, I'm just so not through, there is another missing mobile home that the company has lost. I couldn't have the only laugh out here? They've done it twice? WOW!
