What kind of Expenses are allowed for a Chapter 7?

Since I am filing individually, can I use my husband's expenses that are only in his name such as his car payment and mortgage payment? What about a credit card bill that is only in his name? Can that be an allowed expense for me to take?

I live in NY. Also, I can't tell if in NY I am only entitled to use Federal or State Exemptions. Can someone tell me?

Unsecured debt is not an expense since it will either be totally discharged in a 7. Living expenses, mortgage payments, car payments, child support, etc are all expenses.

BK Chapter has a limit for your total income based on where you live. If you are at or under your ceiling you qualify for BK 7. If you are over the ceiling in your area you cannot file BK 7.
