possible convert to ch 7

just wondering, i might possilby be convertingto a chapter 7

but because i am behind on my mortgage, does that mean i will automatically loose my home.
because i dont get the same protection under a 7 as a chapter 13

our assets will still be under in the state of texas does that matter

Don't know about Texas law specifically, but if you convert a Chapter 13 to a Chapter 7 and you are still behind on your Mortgage, then yes, the mortgage company will be able to get an order from the Bankruptcy Court to foreclose your home.

Have you tried selling the home yet. Is the home worth anything, do you have equity?

I have a question about reverse mortgages and BKs. A friend had a reverse mortgage and just received a notice from the company that handled the mortgage, that the reverse mortgage predated any possible Chapter 7 BK. What does that mean exactly?
