    surrendering auto

If you'll be driving the vehicle until it is repo'd, you'll need to keep the registration current for obvious reasons. If you will not be driving the car, then no need to renew the registration, but keep the vehicle insured until it has been repo'd.

It just came due, and I figure that we are surrending the car in 1-2 months. I just don't want to pay the registration and then have them file a 'Motion to relief of automatic stay' a week later. Any advice?

I filed back in 9/28 and so far Capital One has not contact me about what they want to do with car.
I did get letter say that they have to stop the automatic w/d because of me filing bk.

what is average time for bank or auto finance company to reclaim the car?

as of today no word.. i keep driving my car.. pay my insurance.
