    Wondering about trustees

i am wondering about trustees- Mine does over 100 cases a month. I looked on Pacer at his list of cases and almost all were closed in a timely fashion. Do most trustees do about this many cases per month? Should I take the fact that almost all his cases get closed okay as a good sign?

It's neither a good sign nor a bad sign.

As for the number of cases per month, that really depends on the district.

Honestly, trying to research the trustee is a rather fruitless endeavor...there is absolutely nothing you can learn from PACER that is going to give you any information about how "your" case is going to be treated. I realize you are apprehensive and are looking for any sort of tidbit of information that will put you at ease.

Just realize that well over 90% of BK cases discharge and close without a hitch. I am willing to bet that in about month after your discharged, you are going to look back and laugh and wonder why you were so apprehensive

Trust me I was just like you, I went as far as search on myspace and made a mistake to add him as a friend (no joke) When I searched on pacer I thought my trustee cases closed on a timely matter as well, However, as time went on it I found out he had his share of dimissed cases as well. do depend on that info, each case is unique and the BK courts are getting stricter because the economy has gone to crap and banks are losing money. I have a strong feeling we will be seeing some new BK reform laws very soon.
Success is reachable, stretch out your arm and grab it.

That is hilarious! You totally made my day!

The reason I actually started looking was because when I called the clerk to ask about sending tax returns, they gave me the number of his firm (a giant one) and told me to call and ask.
So I called and he answered "hello?" I was so caught off guard that he answered (like he was at home or something) instead of his secretary that I said "I think I have the wrong number, are you a trustee?" He was very nice and answered my questions right away. But then I got nervous that he was like a work from home attorney that doesn't do that many cases and would go over each with a fine tooth comb!
