i filed for chapter 7 in june 1998 discharge was in october 1998 can anyone advise if the bankruptcy will be off 10 yrs after date of filing or 10 years after date of discharge. bankruptcy was filed in ny state. according to equifax it will be off my report oct 19 2008 but spoke to them and they said it is 10yrs after date of filing. spoke to the district court where bankruptcy was done and they said 10yrs after discharge. i always thought it was 10yrs after filing. can anyone in the know help me with this.

I have always heard 10 years after filing. On my CR it says my Ch. 7 will come off Nov. 2010 which is 10 years after I filed.Filed Ch. 7 Pro Se: 12/11/08
