How to fill out Schedule J

Few questions befor we file Ch7:

Does $700/mo grocery too low or too high for just me and my husband?
    How about clothing?
and for transportation is that for Gas?

Sorry to ask this dumb questions but any advise will be a great help

Um yeah, $700 is going to be too high for a household of 2, we barely spend $400 for a household of 3. Clothing, I believe we had put down around $50 and transportation costs I think was for repairs/gas/tolls, but I don't remember 100% for sure anymore.

The amounts that are allowed for living expenses are very dependent on where you live and what your local court trustees accept. You need to ask your attorney (or make appointments with a local bk attorney or two) to find out what's going to fly in your area.

We can tell you what each of us has on our schedules, but we don't live where you do and we don't have your trustee. What was acceptable in each of our local courts doesn't mean it's what your local court will allow. Your court could allow more or less for each expense you've asked about.

If you are filing pro se (without a lawyer), and understand how to use PACER and not run up a huge bill by accident, you can look up other cases filed in your local court to see what their living expenses were.

I am not a lawyer and this is not legal advice nor a statement of the law - only a lawyer can provide those.
