The taxman cometh....or not?

Our BK was discharged in August. We were able to include a substantial old IRS debt of my husband's...to the tune of about $7000. In previous years, our tax return has been applied to that debt. However, now that that debt has been relieved, I assume that we will actually get our tax refund. Does anyone know if this is correct?

Call the IRS and ask what is on their books for the debt. If it shows discharged, then yes this year's refund is your's to keep.
